Blossom's Field - new toddler play area

Newbury Town Council has recently completed a new toddler playground at Blossom's Field, Wash Common.

This exciting new play facility is situated next to the existing playground at Blossom's Field and includes some innovative and challenging equipment along with the traditional.

Funding towards the scheme included monies raised by a local community group. The total cost was £69,000 and the installation has been completed by play company HAGS/SMP.

The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Anthony Pick will officially unveil the playground on Sunday 12th January 2014 at 10:30am.                         

The existing outdated toddler play equipment at on the Wash Common Recreation Ground will be removed in due course.

Julian Swift-Hook, Leader of the Council said, "The new toddler play area is a welcome addition to our existing play area in Blossom's Field and now children of different ages can play alongside each other under the watchful eye of their guardians. It's great to see the great range of play equipment available and we would like to thank the local community group for raising money towards this valuable community resource"
