Jewellery and crockery stolen in Wendan Road burglary

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Newbury.

Between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday (8/1), offenders gained entry to a house in Wendan Road by using a garden ornament to break the conservatory door.

Once inside the property, offenders carried out an untidy search and left taking earrings and necklaces.  Amongst the jewellery taken was a pearl tear drop earring, a pair of nine carat gold pearl earrings, a gold necklace in the shape of a knot, a pair of garnet earrings and a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings.

Thieves also stole 10 Royal Crown Derby plates.
