Newbury - Fatal accident - Hambridge Road - Police appeal for witnesses.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a fatal collision in Newbury this morning Wednesday 6th August.
Officers were called to Hambridge Road at 10.17am after reports that a van had been involved in a collision with a cyclist.
Paramedics attended, however the cyclist, a man in his forties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt Justin Thomas, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: "I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed this incident.
"Enquiries are ongoing at this time to locate the man's next of kin.
"There are still investigations taking place at the scene of the collision and while these are ongoing the road will remain closed. We anticipate that the closure will be in place for a couple of hours."
