Newbury - Beware the Green Meanies on Bank Holiday Monday

Parking in Newbury car parks on Bank Holidays is no longer Free!

Thousands of people will be coming to Newbury on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May, for the Annual Crafty Craft Race. In other years, parking has been free on Bank Holidays. This is no longer the case. Car parking will be charged at the FULL daily rate.

The Green Meanies are the Civil Enforcement Officers who prowl the town looking for unsuspecting motorists who have contravened the parking regulations.

Also be careful with Parkway Bridge. This bridge is for buses, taxi's and pedestrians - not private cars. The bridge is monitored by CCTV and you will incur a penalty if you drive over it.

Don't ruin your visit to Newbury by incurring a parking penalty!
