Wow! This is one heck of a forum to gain access to!

I have a great early picture of Bridge Street and wonder if there are others anywhere which show something going on there with lots of flags? It appears to be in the 1870's and was taken by Brooks & Hawker of 84 Northbrook Street. I see that Charles Hawker was still there up to 1901 at least.

One of the flags is similar to the Union Flag but doesn't have the St George's Cross on it. Strange.

Any ideas?
